It's nice but I'm thinking they are getting a bit carried away with all the tattoos. What do you think?
I have been convinced that I just have to read this series. I love PG's A&O series, so I'm game for this one too.
Donna - I kind of agree with you. IIRC Mercy doesn't have anywhere near that many tattoos, but....how often do we see realistic covers *grin* The clothing is also rather minimal IMO...Stacy - definitely give them a go! It's a fantastic series! Ah yes, Anna & Charles :)
Thanks for the heads up orannia. :) I do think Mercy isn't accurately portrayed on the covers. Just can't see her wearing a top like that. She seems more of a t-shirt wearer. But I still love the covers. :)
You're welcome Leslie. And I don't see Mercy wearing those clothes either...she's definitely a t-shirt kind of gal :)
I really should start this series. I mean I have the first three books (or maybe its four *sigh* can't check because everything is packed)Pretty cover. I'm such a sucker for a great cover.
I love the cover! I haven't read her MC stuff but I love Briggs' Alpha and Omega series.
I love this series and I am so looking forward to this installment. :)M
*stern look* Aymless - you really should start this series. It is very, very good! But I can understand the logistical issues of trying to find one book among many boxes. All my books are in boxes, but I have what is in each book listed. Sad, I know, but necessary for my peace of mind :)Katie - I love the Alpha & OMega series too! Anna is such a different UF heroine, and I like that. THe Mercy Thompson series is very, very good. Mercy is quite different to Anna but also rather different to most UF heroines. If you do try it, I look forward to hearing what you think :)Michelle - I'm counting down the days too. I hope to read Hunting Ground soon as well :)
I love Mercy. Just love her.
Christine - me too :)
I love this series and can’t wait for this one! I love the Alpha and Omega series too. I had the first book in this series forever. It took me going to her book signing in San Francisco and hearing her read an excerpt to finally pick it up and read it.
Yeah, the tattoos are kind of bothering me at this point. They change all the time, too!
Nice to see you back online LeeAnn :) You know, I can't remember how I stumbled across the series, but I do remember loving it. Am hoping in Silver Bourne we get to know more about...*tries to think of name*...the British werewolf. Oh, and I'm hanging out for Hunting Ground (with hopefully lots of Bran :)You're right heidenkind - they do change. And while I think the cover is pretty, it would be nice IMO, since the artist is putting in so much effort, to have the tattoos a little more accurate :)
The tatooes and the clothes... I can only remember a description of one tatoo, and Mercy's usually described wearing t-shirts... *sigh*(British werewolf = Ben)
It might not be collaborative with mercy but there is a reason behind the tattoos. Every cover has different tattoos in a different location that gives clues as to what is going to be in the book. This is probably going to be with a lot of Adam and Stephan drama or something to do with the werewolves and the vampires. Hopefully we will get more information on Mercy family and information on being a walker.
Indeed, as Rachel stated each cover depicts the topics in that book. When she has the outline of a new book mapped out in her head, patty (author) sends it to Daniel Dos Santos (cover artist). He then will design the cover based on the clues and such that she gives him. A very cool and beautiful way to give us a little extra treat.
