* To Ride Hell's Chasm (Janny Wurts)

Books I 'did not finish':

* Eon: Dragoneye Reborn (Alison Goodman)
Currently reading: Bloodhound (Tamora Pierce)

And the books I'm most looking forward to reading next month?

* Blaze of Memory (Nalini Singh)

* Grimspace (Ann Aguirre) [Yes, azteclady and Aymless, I will finally read Grimspace!]

What did you read last month?

  1. OMG, is the month already over? I don't even know what I read - Demon Forged, Bound by Your Touch...uh, mind blanking! I have to say, that Heir to Sevenwaters cover is awesome! Both of those covers are. Somebody is on a very intriguing fantasy tear!

  2. I haven't read in... *gulp* well, pretty much MONTHS.

It's horrible, awful, sickening--but there you have it.

And holycow for finally reading Grimspace! *happy dancing*

  3. I read 8 books this month, but at least half of them were DNFs. I think my favorite was probably Tempt Me At Twilight, but it was kind of a meh month for me.

  4. I actually had a pretty good month of reading.
I read this month (and all very good books):
Love, Like Ghosts by Ally Blue
    Doubleblind by Ann Aguirre
As You Are by Ethan Day
Just for You by Jet Mykles
    Elixir by Jordan Castillo Price
    Cover Me by L.B. Gregg
Under My Skin (I and II) by ML Rhodes
Cut and Run; Warrior's Cross by Madeleine Urban and Abigail Roux
The Lincoln County Wars; Border Roads by Sarah Black
    Hunting Season by Shelly Laurenston
The Deadly series by Victor J Banis

I'm currently reading Caught Running by M.Urban and A.Roux and Bed of Roses by N.Roberts

  5. Somebody is on a very intriguing fantasy tear!

LOL CJ! Yes, I have been. Romance just hasn't tickled my fancy, but I think I'm back on the bike now. I must get around to reading Bound By Your Touch - I've heard so many good things about it.

(((azteclady))) I'm sorry to hear that. If you don't mind me asking, is it a book slump or has life just become insane? Or it could be both...for me they usually arrive hand in hand. I hope you get your reading zing back soon :) And yes, Grimspace will be read this month! I'm psyched *grin*

heidenkind - that's a lot of DNFs :( I hope the month of November is full of lots of lovely books! And I'm looking forward to reading Tempt Me At Twilight, even though I know it won't be as good as Mine till Midnight. Oh, and a secret - half of my books for November were yaoi manga, and so very quick reads :)

Mariana - what a great list of books! There are some authors in there I am very interesting in reading/have heard a lot about, including Ann Aguirre *grin*, Shelly Laurenston and Jordan Castillo Price!

Happy reading for the month of November everyone :)

  6. I read SIX books in October, which I'm feeling pretty darned happy about considering I had such a busy month. My favorite read was Surrender Of A Siren by Tessa Dare (historical fiction), but Written On Your Skin by Meredith Duran was also very lovely, and I just finished Curse of the Spellmans last night--it's the second Spellman Files book by Lisa Lutz (mystery), and it was really good, too.

So glad you're finally going to read Grimspace. I think I'm finally in the proper mindset to read Doubleblind and started it (again) this morning. I hope you enjoy this series. It's very good.

  7. Yay, I am SO glad youliked Heir..isn't it bloody fantastic? I LOVED the romance *sigh* Cathaaaaaal!!!

  8. Christine - six books is a great month IMO :) I still haven't read any of Meredith Durran's books, and I 'suggested' them to my local library :( Must try harder, but Grimspace first. And yes, I finally feel ready for it :)

Yay, I am SO glad youliked Heir..isn't it bloody fantastic?

In one word - YES *grin* The romance was beautiful - subtle and...effortless. And I loved Cathal too! I'm so glad Juliet Marillier is writing a sequel and I hope Clodagh and Cathal are in it *crosses fingers desperately*

  9. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on Grimspace!!

I think my favorite book I read in Oct was Soulless by Gail Carriger.

  10. Yay for Grimspace! I hope you love it!

My favorite book read in October was Fire by Kristin Cashore. Technically I started it in September although I finished it in October so if that doesn't count my favorite would be My Soul to Keep by Tananarive Due.

  11. Mandi - Souless is on my TBR list; I've heeard so many good things about it. And I'm lookingforward to reading Grimspace, but I'm also nervous - kick-a*s heroines and I have an uneasy relationship :) Hmm....maybe I should take notes as I write...

Thank you Kristen :) And I always count books from when I finish them, not when I start them, so I think you can count Fire *grin* I need to read up on My Soul to Keep...
