Scream

*SIGH* I have spent the majority of the weekend either with or managing various family members. Since a picture is worth a thousand words (and since I don't want to subject you all to a 1000-word diatribe of how I am feeling after said weekend) I give you The Scream.

Yes, that is how my family make me feel. Unfortunately, one can't chose one's family. So, how was your weekend?

  1. You have my sympathy! I spent Saturday with family - fortunately I have today to recover. :)

  3. Hang in there, sweetie! Sometimes the best thing about visiting family is being able to go home. ;-)

Treat yourself nice tonight. Curl up with Alec and Seregil. (Love that Japanese cover for Luck in the Shadows!)

  4. Chris - thank you. I hope you have a lovely Sunday recovering :)

    Thank you Mariana. *hugs*

Renee - it seemed like the weekend would never end...and it hasn't, because I have to drop items off to two family members this afternoon. Day 4 of the family :( Am enjoying Luck in the Shadows but am intensely worried about what will happen to them. I haven't been this invested in characters since...Felix and Mildmay *grin* I love the Japanese cover too - I just wish it was bigger!

  5. Orannia: It's nearly 1 pm and I'm still in my bathrobe. Ahhhh. :)

Here's a quote I love from Richard Bach's book Illusions: "The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life. Rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof."

  10. Chris - I love the quote!

heidenkind - I avoided the closet, although it was a close call. Am hoping I can get back online - I miss everyone!

Renee - ummm...confession - I'm not reviewing it :( My usual set up is to take notes the whole way through, but I'm already ~110 pages in. Maybe the next one? (I still have my Corambis review to write if that's any consolation :)

Mandi - a hamster? For you? How is the hamster settling in? Does he/she have a name?

    Christine - thank you! *hugs*

(((azteclady))) Thank you! Am feeling a bit calmer now, although I have my weekly telephone conversation with one family member to look forward too this afternoon /sarcasm
