The 2010 Support Your Local Library Reading Challenge total to date: nine books (three books this month)

The 2010 Big Book Challenge total to date: one book

The M/M Romance Challenge 2010 total to date: three books (one book this month)

A list of all the books I've read to date (from 01 January 2010) can be found at GoodReads.

Favourite book of the month?

* The Hell You Say (Josh Lanyon)

Books I 'did not finish':

* Burn (Linda Howard)

* The Scarecrow (Michael Connelly)

* The Adamantine Palace (Stephen Deas) [Yes, it was a bad month for DNF books...]

Currently reading: Archangel's Kiss (Nalini Singh)

And the book I'm most looking forward to reading next month: I'm honestly not sure...it depends on what I haul out from my TBR list. I am rather tempted to read Death of a Pirate King...

So, what did you read last month?

  1. Did you notice you were the lucky winner of Freeze Frame by Mia?? :) Congrats!

    Oh, read the next two Adrien English books. You know you want to!! :)

    And me? I read lots and lots...

  2. I was thinking about starting Archangel's Kiss tonight.

  3. March was pretty good. Mary Balogh's A Matter of Class, Rob Thurman's Roadkill and Rachel Vincent's My Soul to Save are the ones that stand out. No real duds in the month so that's always a plus.

  4. Chris - I did! YAH! *mad happy dance* I've replied to your email. And I will read the next two AE books...but my wrists are playing up (RSI) so I'm trying to avoid the iPhone for the next few days. They are feeling better that they were a few days ago. Lots and lots and lots? *grin*

    heidenkind - if you do, I look forward to hearing what you think. I'm ~60 pages from the end. Am thinking of heading to bed to finish it now :)

    Leslie - no duds is always good :) I have A Matter of Class on my TBR list. It sounds good! And I must try Rob Thurman's books!

  5. Orannia: Must get you a little stand to hold the iPhone so you don't have to aggravate your wrists when you read!

  6. Seventeen books is fantastic!! And how great to be chipping away at those challenges.

    I read nine books in March, and one was a novella, so maybe it doesn't even count. I enjoyed all the books I read, but maybe Four to Score by Janet Evanovich was kind of meh. My favorite reads are probably Incarceron by Catherine Fisher (YA) and Proof of Seduction by Courtney Milan (Historical romance). Well, I also loved the Lily Bard books by Charlaine Harris.

    I hope April is a great reading month for you! :)

  7. The ending in The Hell You Say *blows into hankie* oh how I heart Adrien English series.

    Psst Death of a Pirate King muy good.

  8. Chris - I have heard of the little stands. If I lay the iPhone on the table I don't have to hold it. In bed, I rest it against the linen - with a thicker duvet (autumn has arrived :) that works quite well. Am hoping to start Pilates soon to strengthen my wrists :)

    Christine - thank you :) I must confess, most were manga and thus fast reads. *races off to learn all about your March reads*

    Smokinhotbooks - I thought the ending of The Hell You Say was sad too. Have started Death of A Pirate King - will explain why in my next post. The most recent revelation.....*jaw drops*

  9. Hey! I read 22 books, but some were shorts... 19 of the 22 were MM... seem to be enjoying that genre more than MF still :)

    I really loved all the books I read; of course some more than others, but really a good month for me :)

    Death of a Pirate King was soooooo sad for me. I love that JL can bring out so many emotions for this couple.... I hope you're still enjoying them.

    Thankfully, Ginn Hale's book has been released as an ebook, so I'm reading that now (yay!)

  10. Wow, great reading month for you! I only read 10 books and left about 4 or 5 unfinished. But I intend to pick them up soon ;)
    I really want to start The Hell You Say this month cos I miss Adrien :). But I heard you better read book 3 and 4 right after each other, so I have to make sure to have some time for both books at once...

  11. Mariana - I'm enjoying m/m books at the moment too :) I can't wait to hear what you think of Wicked Gentlemen.

    Janna - you have so much to look forward too. I read The Hell You Say, then had to read books 4 and 5 straight after. I am so a Josh Lanyon fan after reading the series. I'm just sad they're finished :(
