The Australian Aborigines undertake a spiritual journey know as a walkabout. Over the past year I’ve come to the realization that I need to go walkabout – not literally, but figuratively – because I don’t want to spend the rest of my life just existing. I want to enjoy life and, if possible, be happy. So why the blog? It’s to help me learn to express myself and not to be afraid when doing so. And as for what the posts contain....probably anything and everything – whatever pops into my head.

I Want To Know What Love Is
I'm sorry Mariah, but you didn't do this song justice IMHO. Foreigner's version (the original version) gives me goosebumps!

Mariana - it's a great song, isn't it? *grin* Yes, there was a remake...and every time I hear it I wish for the original :) Peter Gabriel - love him. My favourite song of his is a duet - Don't Give Up - with Kate Bush.
Chris - Mad World is a great song. Actually, IIRC Adam Lambert sung it during American Idol and he knocked it out of the park :) I must confess to loving me some Tears for Fears. I'm so an 80s chick at heart :)

It's an older one but Little Wing always gives me the chills. I first heard it done by a cover band 20 years ago and have loved it ever since. I think I like Stevie Ray Vaughn's instrumental version better than Henrix's original version. lol
heidenkind - I haven't heard of Mary J Bilge's version of One. Normally I run away from U2 remakes, but 30 Seconds to Mars has taught me that it can work. I will hunt it down :)
