Christmas Songs...

....always come out of the woodwork at this time of year. This is one of my favourite Christmas songs. It also doubles as a spot the 80s star competition - the trick is to do so with your eyes closed - and a flashback of some scary 80s fashions!

So, what's your favourite Christmas song?

This version is the best, much better than the 1989 and 2004 version and heaps better than We Are The World. Admittedly We Are The World isn't a Christmasy song, but it it never appealed to me way Do They Know It's Christmas did.

My favourite Christmas songs are Last Christmas (Wham), Feliz Navidad (Celine Dion version), Do You Hear What I Hear? and The Last Noel.

*happy sigh*

Does it help you know I was 18 when this came out?

*another happy sigh*

Thank you, orannia--may your Christmas be joyful and bring you all you need (whether you know you need it or not)

Total flashback! :D

My favorite Christmas song is "White Wine in the Sun" by Tim Minchin. :)

That should, of course, be The First Noel. LOL .. The things you type at one o'clock in the morning!

This song brought back sweet memories. Thanks for that. :)

I like Bruce Springsteens version of 'Santa is Coming to Town' and another one of the better Christmas songs I think is Amy Winehouse's 'I saw mommy kissing Santa'.

Happy Holidays, hon! *hugs*

ShellBell - the original version is the best of the three IMHO! And I love Last Christmas too!

azteclady - it's a FAB song, isn't it? Thank you. May you and yours have a wonderful Christmas and New Year. *hugs*

Chris - it is, isn't it? *grin* I don't think I've heard that song :) *races off to YouTube* Ahhhh - nice :)

Well, I really like Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree, The First Noel by Weezer, We Three Kings by Ella Fitzgerald, Colorado Christmas by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Good King Wenceslas. :)

Annie Lennox: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAInRYfZQ7g

Love her voice.

A creepy Christmas song is by Stevie Nicks... her voice really is not suited for Christmas music:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_b5wpiaScoQ&feature=related

My daughter and I get a kick out of it.
