I'm Back...

...she says hopefully! Yes, from my Testing Testing post it has been another 2 months to this post...I suck at blogging :( RL has been...busy. No more busy than normal I guess. But I've been...I guess the word I'm looking for is overwhelmed. With RL. With trying to cram everything in. Cue high levels of anxiety, which the unnamed expert and I are working on. And something had to give and that ended up being blogging. I'm sorry.

I have this week off. And, yes, I probably should have posted yesterday, but it was fine and the garden beckoned. And now it is weeded (mostly - weeds are like boomerangs :) and composted and ready for spring planting. Yes, it is spring here, although you wouldn't know it looking over the window. (It's currently raining. Heavily.) So I aim to try and post this week. Not big posts, but little things. And try and visit all your blogs. And try and keep that up when I go back to work. Because being on holiday is like being in a little cocoon. Everything changes when you break out. But until then you can just...be...which is what I'm trying to do this week. No places to be or things to do (although I have a huge chore list and should probably get on it, but the fire is lit and I'm watching YouTube videos and I don't really want to do chores :)

So, what do you like to do when you're on holiday?

  1. I hope you're still reading, Orannia! :) I haven't had a vacation in so long I don't even know...

  2. Since I'm quick to ditch linkity and the Misadventures when I'm feeling overwhelmed, I can completely sympathize! Enjoy your week off. :)

  3. Glad to see you back :) I've been super busy as well and haven't been doing any blogging either. I have a few drafted posts, but not much that got put out for the masses. I don't feel guilty either, I'm too tired to feel that emotion, lol. Hope you have a fabulous week off, enjoy it.

  4. *hug*

    Woman, it's glad I am to see you, and will always be glad to see you, however long in between sightings.

    Don't put pressure on yourself to do anything you don't feel like doing, but know that you are welcome whenever you do visit.

    I do hope you have been giving yourself a chance to read and escape into it.

  5. I too live under the blog-guilt umbrella. I love writing my reviews and posting and talking about books, but sometimes you just have to let it go a bit. It's super nice to get to check in here though.
    Weeds. Ugh, don't get me started. They win!

  6. @Tasha - I'm trying :) I've mostly been reading Teen Wolf fanfiction of late, but I'm easing myself back into published books.. And oh. This holiday was too long in coming. I had plans to do stuff, but...I'm not doing much ATM :)

    @Chris - thank you x2!

    @Mariana - many thanks! I have lots of ideas for posts, I just need to sit down and write them!

    @azteclady - thank you :) I haven't been doing much reading so far...more watching. More in my next post...or the one after that :)

    @lisa t- LOL! Weeds are evil. But there is something very satisfying about a weeded garden bed...and someone telling you how good it looks. I haven't written a review in....ages! It's hard enough writing a few lines, so I'm in awe of those of you who review :)
